Terms of Service

The rules that govern your use of Rubidy — accounts, acceptable use, AI content, billing, and liability.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Rubidy is operated by the Rubidy Team (“we”, “us”). By creating a Rubidy account or using our websites and applications, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Agreement is mandatory to use the service.

If you use Rubidy on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that institution. If you do not agree, do not use Rubidy. We may update these Terms; continued use after the “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms when legally permitted.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for protecting your password and sessions, and for all activity under your credentials. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.
  • If you are a minor, you may only use Rubidy with consent of a parent or guardian, or under a school-managed account, as required by local law.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or pose a security risk.

3. Service description

Rubidy is an AI-assisted educational platform. Depending on your plan and role (learner or teacher), features may include:

  • PDF upload and indexing for grounded study and teaching
  • RAG tutor chat when documents are selected (generalist otherwise)
  • Revisions tab: summaries, sheets, flashcards, quizzes from indexed PDFs
  • Class content, assignments (including AI from class PDFs), and auto-graded quizzes
  • Gradebook, gap analysis, remediations, and exports (PDF / CSV where available)

Features may change as we improve the product. Pre-launch or beta features may be incomplete, unstable, or withdrawn without prior notice.

4. AI-generated content

Critical disclaimer: AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that is inappropriate for your context. Rubidy is a study and teaching aid — not a substitute for human academic judgment, teacher review, or institutional decision-making.

  • You are responsible for verifying generated content before use or distribution (to students, classmates, or third parties).
  • You must respect your school’s academic integrity rules, including policies on AI assistance, citation, and plagiarism.
  • Do not rely on Rubidy alone for high-stakes decisions (exams, grading without review, medical, legal, or financial advice).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or content you lack rights to use
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service or other users
  • Bypass plan limits, quotas, security controls, or access another user’s data without permission
  • Use Rubidy to generate spam, malware, or content that violates applicable law
  • Place unauthorized strain on the platform (automated abuse, credential stuffing, or similar)
  • Misrepresent AI-generated work as solely human-authored when disclosure is required

6. Plans, credits & billing

Subscriptions

Paid plans renew automatically according to the cycle you choose (monthly or yearly) until canceled. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are shown in the product and on the pricing page; taxes may apply. Upgrades typically take effect immediately; downgrades and cancellations follow the rules displayed at checkout and in-app.

Credits & fair use

Some features consume credits or usage quotas. Unused purchased credits may persist according to plan terms; promotional or free-tier allowances may reset or expire. Abuse of fair-use limits may result in throttling or suspension.

Refunds

Except where required by law or explicitly offered, fees are generally non-refundable. Billing inquiries: contact@rubidy.com.

7. Intellectual property

Rubidy retains ownership of the platform, brand, software, and documentation (or that of our licensors). You retain full ownership of documents you upload (including PDFs) and other content you create.

You grant the Rubidy Team a limited license to host, process, index, and display that content solely to operate the service for you and your permitted collaborators (e.g. class members). Feedback you send may be used to improve Rubidy without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI outputs will meet your requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rubidy’s aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim (or, if greater is required by law, the minimum mandatory amount). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for fraud or willful misconduct).

9. Applicable law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Rubidy’s place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
